Bio First, I should tell you that Angel and BVS belong to Joss Weldon, Mutant Enemy and the TV company. I'm just parodying a character in an RPG. I also play Doyle in ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif)

My character is -
Alan Francis Doyle. Born in 1974 and reared by my Irish mother. She gave me the best education she could and I became a third grade teacher and helped out the local soup kitchen. I was doing all right and when I met this girl, Harriet, we got married just before my twentieth birthday. (Her friends called her Harry, by the way.)
We were talking about having children ourselves when things went really wrong. You wouldn't believe what I got for my 21st birthday. Turns out I wasn't entirely Irish - or entirely human. My mother had kind of forgotten to mention that my father was a Brachen demon, but when I turned adult - well, it showed anyway. Brachens have faces like some kind of rotting tropical fruit... It finished my marriage.
Harry kept pretending that she didn't mind - even said that she'd like me to explore my demon heritage! I knew it must be making her feel sick, really, though. A counsellor I saw back then said that was because it made me feel sick - the drink had started making me feel a bit better by then, though - at least, it did while I was drinking it. I was gambling too and - well, looking back, I'd changed quite a bit, really. Then something else happened.
My cousin Luke came from Montana to ask for help for his Clan. This was a cousin on the paternal, Brachen side. I told him to clear off - nothing to me, demons should go to Hell - you know? That night I had - well, I thought then it was a kind of fit. I saw Luke and all his family dead. It turned out that I had true visions; a Seer, some call it. I won't bore you with how I ended up working for The Powers That Be, but the visions still hurt bad, anyway.
The latest is that I have to find this fellow called Angel. Well, I say fellow, he's a vampire - with a soul, would you believe? Irish-born, too. I'm supposed to kind of guide him where the Powers want him to go, and to make him understand that he needs to keep in touch with humans. Soul or not, he could lose touch with his own humanity and become as bad as the monsters he hunts.
(Back when I split with Harry the Counsellor suggested I should keep a journal to, kind of sort myself out, you know? Turns out the Powers thought so too - so this is it. Maybe I'll end up being a kind of Dr Watson to our fanged Sherlock Holmes - I mean, writing the books about it all, not being the stupid sidekick..)
